Heidi Group Proactive in Deflecting PP Criticism

Carol Everett

Carol Everett

Recognizing that the liberal media will try to play up public sympathy for women who were using Planned Parenthood’s “health services” for contraceptives and non-mammogram breast screenings, Carol Everett, founder and president of The Heidi Group, is being pro-active in identifying the hundreds of health care providers across the state who do not perform abortions and thus will still be eligible to receive Medicaid funding for providing health services to low-income women. While testifying before a legislative committee concerning SB7, Carol had assured the legislators that there would be sufficient alternative providers for these women. Now she has identified more than 1,500 such providers in order to provide the media with the data necessary to deflect untrue criticisms of the bill which has effectively defunded both Planned Parenthood AND its affiliates in Texas.

Just How Pro-Abortion is President Obama?

There is no doubt that President Obama is the most pro-abortion president ever to disgrace the White House. But the actual magnitude of his anti-life actions is staggering when viewed in its entirety. Our friends at LifeNews.com have compiled an impressive (and depressing!) list of the dozens and dozens of pro-abortion actions this president has taken.

From a recent communication, LifeNews.com reminds us, “Some say that a president doesn’t have much effect on issues like abortion, embryonic stem cell research, or promoting abortion abroad. But Obama has proven otherwise — as he’s forced Americans to spend millions of dollars on embryonic stem cell research, taxpayer-funded abortions, and spent tens of millions promoting a new Constitution in Kenya that legalized abortions there.

He’s pushed ObamaCare and pushed abortion funding and paying for drugs that can cause abortions in ObamaCare, refused to de-fund Planned Parenthood, cozied up with pro-abortion leaders, and put staunch anti-life activists in key policy positions and judgeships who will have an impact on pro-life laws for a generation.” From refusing Speaker Boehner’s requests to defund Planned Parenthood in the quest to cut federal spending to spending more and more tax dollars on fruitless embryonic stem cell research to nominating pro-abortion judicial candidates, this president’s anti-life actions are among his most frequent and consistent. GOP Presidential Candidate Update

Gov. Rick Perry

Gov. Rick Perry

While all the top tier candidates for the GOP presidential nomination profess to be pro-life and most have signed the Susan B. Anthony List pro-life pledge, none have been attacked as fiercely by the anti-life crowd as Texas Gov. Rick Perry whose book Fed Up! details his pro-life stands. Gov. Perry soared to the top of the national polls among Republicans and doesn’t back down from his staunch defense of innocent human life.

Naturally, the candidacy of one of the nation’s most pro-life governors is making anti-life advocates very nervous! Abortion is the centerpiece and required philosophy for radical feminists, as documented by Phyllis Schlafly in her most recent book The Flipside of Feminism, and they denounce anyone opposing abortion as “attacking women.” Politico recently quoted Siobhan Bennett, president of the Women’s Campaign Forum, denouncing Gov. Perry, “His work as governor is unparalleled in its frontal assault on women,” citing Perry’s active opposition to abortion, statistics on women living in poverty and without health care in Texas. “He has gone farther out on a limb legislatively in his capacity as governor and has been expressly anti-woman in the legislation he has done,” she whines. Help Us Elect Pro-Life Conservatives in 2012

As important as the presidency is for the 2012 Election, it is also vital that we continue to vet and elect pro-life conservatives to send to the U.S. House and Senate. There are 33 Senate seats up for election this cycle with a number of retirements announced — both Democrat and GOP. RNC for Life needs YOUR help to identify and support pro-life candidates so that we can put a pro-life majority in the Senate. Please click here to donate to our PAC. Your donation can make a real difference in the outcome in 2012!
