Planned Parenthood De-Funding Removed From
Two-Week Continuing Resolution Budget!!
The original budget that last month passed the U.S. House for fiscal year 2011 contained Cong. Mike Pence’s (R-IN) amendment to totally de-fund Planned Parenthood, which receives more than $350 million in federal funds annually. Yet, according to Gary Bauer of American Values, PP has millions of dollars in profits each year. Add in the series of undercover videos exposing PP’s collusion with “pimps” and others to sidestep state laws, there are plenty of reasons to defund the nation’s leading abortion mill.
But when the two-week Continuing Resolution (CR) was passed to fund the government through March 18, the Pence amendment was NOT included.
Every day that Planned Parenthood is getting OUR tax dollars, more than 900 babies are killed in their abortuaries. That figure is based upon Guttmacher Institute data showing 3700 abortions per day in the USA and PP’s more than 25% of market share in the abortion industry.
ACTION: Congress soon will vote on another seven-month CR to fund the government through the end of the fiscal year. Pro-lifers need to flood our Congressional representatives with phone calls (202-224-3121) and email them to demand that the Pence amendment be included in the next CR.
