Comic Strip Calls Sonograms Rape
Thanks to our friends at LifeNews.com for bringing this deliberate distortion of sonogram legislation to our attention, as shown in just one of the planned strips (pictured above) which are set to be released this week. Read more here. and then check with your newspaper to see if they plan to carry Garry Trudeau’s left-wing propaganda disguised as a “comic strip” or if they will responsibly pull the strips.
One would assume (thought wrongly, as it turns out) that a Catholic college or university would not legitimize pro-abortion groups on campus, given the Catholic Church’s staunch doctrine that abortion is morally wrong. However, recently, it has come to light that pro-abortion groups can be found at Catholic universities, including DePaul University, Fordham University, Georgetown University, Santa Clara University and Seattle University. A pro-life group, TFP Student Action, is questioning why pro-abortion groups are given official recognition, and in some cases, even a faculty sponsor. More details appear here.
Additionally, at least ten Catholic institutions are providing internships for their students at pro-abortion organizations, such as the National Organization for Women and The Feminist Majority, according to the Cardinal Newman Society. Read more here.
Last Friday, a federal judge today unsealed a lawsuit former Planned Parenthood employee Abby Johnson filed nearly three years ago. Ms. Johnson, who is the former director of a PP abortuary near Texas A&M College in Bryan-College Station, claims that Planned Parenthood engages in “a pernicious and persistent pattern of Medicaid fraud” by knowingly seeking improper reimbursements from the Texas Women’s Health Program from 2007 to 2009, totally more than 87,000 fraudulent claims and receiving more than $5.7 million in Medicaid tax funds for services which either were never performed or which were not covered by the WHP. Read more details here.
The Obama Administration has made good on its threat to Texas to withhold Medicaid funds for low-income women’s health services unless Planned Parenthood was reinstated to receive funding under a recently-passed Texas law which effectively defunded PP in Texas. But Gov. Rick Perry stood firm against the threat, saying that . . . he would find the money in the state’s budget to fund the needed health services for low-income women without the federal money and the Obama Administration’s mandate to fund PP. Read his statement here.
Please send the Governor an email thanking him for this courageous stand against the bullying of the Obama administration. Governor’s web email.
RNC for Life urges our readers in Alabama, Hawaii, Mississippi and American Samoa to vote for RICK SANTORUM. While all four major GOP nomination candidates are pro-life to some extent, we feel that Sen. Santorum is the candidate who is strongest and most consistent in his record of preserving the sanctity of life. His dedication to pro-life, pro-family values is demonstrated both in his personal life and in his voting record, which is why we are endorsing him for the GOP Presidential nomination. (Puerto Rico will have its primary next Sunday and we urge the same vote in that Primary as well.)
