So Much Planned Parenthood Mischief!
This week’s e-notes isn’t going to have just one Planned Parenthood Mischief of the Week. There is so much mischief going on involving Planned Parenthood and its deceptive partnering with other groups that this entire edition will detail more of PP’s partners which you might not know are working with the abortion giant to promote abortion.
Komen Foundation Charity Race Down in Numbers
The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was down by about a third, and similar declines were reported across the country, according to The Hill, a Washington D.C., on-line publication. Read the full story here.
The decline is due in large part to Komen’s flip-flopping on its funding for Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider. After first deciding to cut its financial ties to PP, Komen was bombarded by bombastic feminists who demanded that the abortion giant be put back on Komen’s “payroll.” Almost immediately, the foundation caved to the pressure, which resulted in the resignation of several of its board members in various locations.
But the public has reacted negatively to the once-respected Komen’s fundraising, now that it’s clear that some of those funds will go to abortion marketers. Some predict that Komen’s corporate sponsors also will fall off in the next funding cycle, leaving Komen to learn a hard lesson about playing with PP.
YWCA Promotes Planned Parenthood
It appears that the “C” in YWCA no longer stands for “Christian” as the huge non-profit continues its relationships with Planned Parenthood and even has staff who promote abortion. LifeNews.com reveals a PP blog in which the “gender equity coordinator for the YWCA of Orange County” talks about how she participated in a recent rally promoting the Planned Parenthood abortion business. The article is entitled “My View: YWCA mobilizing young women in reproductive-rights fight” and in it, she condemns legislative efforts to keep taxpayers from being forced to fund the abortion business. Read more details here. There clearly are women who are NOT being empowered as their logo/slogan would imply: pre-born women.
Planned Parenthood Assists with Sex Selection Abortions
And in yet another Planned Parenthood “oops!” moment, undercover video reveals that PP employees are all too eager to assist women who wish to abort their babies because of the unborn child’s gender. Many have seen the LiveAction.com Austin, TX video, and now a second video has been filmed in New York which reveals a PP worker saying, “I can tell you that here at Planned Parenthood we believe that it’s not up to us to decide what is a good or a bad reason for somebody to decide to terminate a pregnancy.” PP’s CEO Cecile Richards agrees, noting that she opposed the recently defeated federal ban on sex-selection abortions because, it would “limit [a woman's] choices as she makes personal medical decisions.”
These are not isolated incidents. Lila Rose, the founder of LiveAction.com, was recently interviewed and reported that in every Planned Parenthood facility that was visited on the pretense of aborting the unborn child if its gender wasn’t the desired one, the sex-selection abortion was facilitated. So their pink logo (shown above) certainly isn’t pink because it favors girls!
The bill Richards opposed, known as the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act (PRENDA), was recently defeated in the U.S. House. It did not pass because it needed a 2/3 majority since it was brought in a manner that required a super majority. Although it “passed” by a 246-168 vote, it did not reach the 2/3 threshold. There were seven “Republicans” who voted against banning the sex-selection abortions: Amash, Bass (NH), Bono Mack, Dold, Hanna, Hayworth, and Paul. Additionally, eight Republicans (Burton, Fortenberry, Guinta, Lewis (CA), Mack, McCarthy (CA), Roby, and Young (FL)) were absent for the vote. To see the undercover video, click here.
