TALK ABOUT "GODLESS!" Atheists Combine Wealth Through Gates Foundation – You have, no doubt, read the news that mega-billionaire Warren Buffet has bestowed most of his $44 billion ($30.7 billion) in Berkshire Hathaway stock upon the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which has an estimated worth just short of $30 billion. Warren Buffet is a major donor to abortion and population control programs. In August of 2003, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops Office of Pro-Life Activities published an article by Susan E. Wills, Esq. entitled “Investment Advice for Warren Buffet” that reported his grants of $4.7 million to International Projects Assistance Services, a company that makes portable suction abortion devices and supplies them, along with clinics and training, in 11 countries; $3.5 million to the Population Council, the outfit that brought RU-486 to the U.S.; $2.1 million to Planned Parenthood Federation of America and 11 local chapters; $1.5 million to the National Abortion Rights Action League; and lesser sums to the Center for Reproductive Rights (the legal group that helped strike down state bans on partial-birth abortion) and the non-Catholic organization calling itself “Catholics for a Free Choice.” The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is billed as a promoter of health and education around the world. Their grant recipients include International Planned Parenthood Federation, The Alan Guttmacher Institute (an arm of Planned Parenthood). The United Nations Population Fund, and the World Health Organization. Obviously, “health” for Bill and Melinda Gates includes population control, and Planned Parenthood-style family planning. Of course, funding for adolescent “health” programs is also a priority. Bill Gates’ father, who is reportedly responsible for “inspiring” Bill Gates to direct his charitable giving toward population control programs, served on the national board of Planned Parenthood, the largest provider of abortions in the world. Warren Buffet and Bill Gates are fast friends. They have much in common. Both men reportedly profess to be Atheists who have now combined their vast fortunes to carry out their shared world view in which, absent the existence of a Creator, the only God is personal autonomy. Imagine the rejoicing in the pro-abortion camp as they salivate over the potential hundreds of millions of dollars that is likely to be poured into their coffers in perpetuity, in addition to the hundreds of millions they glean from U.S. taxpayers each year in federal grants! If there ever was a time for Congress to stop funding Planned Parenthood, it is NOW!
Promoters of the Amendment have reportedly raised $10 million, while the pro-life side has scraped together only $144,000. The biggest chunk of the pro-cloning money has come from Jim and Virginia Stowers, founders of the non-profit Stowers Institute for Medical Research. Other big donors include Dr. William Danforth, chancellor emeritus of Washington University, John Bachmann, a senior partner at Edward Jones, and Richard Mahoney, former chairman and chief executive of Monsanto Co. Dr. Danforth and his brother, former U.S. Senator John Danforth (R-MO), are grandsons of the founder of Ralston Purina. At first glance, the odds seem overwhelming. But then, the pro-life movement has never had the kind of funding that the anti-life crowd enjoys. What the pro-life movement does have is the truth and an effective grassroots operation that, with God’s help, will prevail. Do you have friends and/or family members in Missouri? If so, you can help David defeat Goliath! Ask them to contact Missourians Against Human Cloning at http://www.nocloning.org to find out how they can help. Above all, make sure they vote NO on election day in November. | |
