PRO-ABORTION LEADER SAYS GIULIANI WIN WOULD "HELP" PRO-CHOICE CAUSE

A statement released yesterday by Concerned Women for America (CWA) called upon Congress to suspend the more than $300 million in federal funding they send to Planned Parenthood each year. According to a 107-count complaint filed in Kansas' Johnson County District Court last week, Planned Parenthood purposefully performed illegal late term abortions in violation of Kansas state law and unlawfully falsified documents to conceal that fact.

CWA President Wendy Wright says it is time for abortion clinics to be held accountable. "One-third of Planned Parenthood's income comes from the government. Planned Parenthood takes our money and when accused of violating laws arrogantly insists that no one dare question them because they are doing it 'for the women.' Government officials have a duty to hold Planned Parenthood accountable when innocent lives die due to its skirting of regulations and laws. Our tax dollars should not go to organizations involved in illegal activities." "This goes beyond being pro-life or pro-abortion. The rule of law applies to everyone, including abortionists."

In addition, since Planned Parenthood rakes in enormous profits annually, the pro-life Members of Congress should immediately introduce legislation that would permanently de-fund Planned Parenthood and other agencies and organizations that provide and/or promote surgical and/or chemical abortions under the guise of "family planning."

PRO-ABORTION LEADER SAYS GIULIANI WIN WOULD "HELP" PRO-CHOICE CAUSE

Elizabeth Shipp, political director of NARAL Pro-Choice America, told The Huffington Post in an October 10 story that it "would help" the abortion rights movement if Giuliani proves it's possible a pro-choice candidate can win the Republican nomination and the presidency.

"The Republican Party used to be about the conservative principles of limited government intervention in private life," Shipp said. "It seems to me if they went back to that and stood out from the rigid, mainstream, anti-choice agenda, I think yeah, it would be good for the movement."

Pro-life Republicans should take note — support for Rudy Giuliani translates to giving aid and comfort to the enemy in the ongoing war for our culture.

CATHOLIC BISHOP WOULD REFUSE COMMUNION TO RUDY GIULIANI OVER ABORTION

Archbishop Raymond Burke of St. Louis, who refused to give Communion to John Kerry during the 2004 presidential campaign because of his pro-abortion views, has made the same promise concerning pro-abortion Republican candidate Rudy Giuliani. In an interview with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Archbishop Burke said, "If the question is about a Catholic who is publicly espousing positions contrary to the moral law, and I know that person knows it, yes I would [deny Communion].
