A MESSAGE FOR PRESIDENT-ELECT OBAMA AND THE PRO-ABORTION MEMBERS OF CONGRESS
A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said, "Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even one year old and I'm pregnant again. I don't want kids so close together."

So, the doctor said, "And what do you want me to do?"

She replied, "I want you to end my pregnancy, and I'm counting on your help."

The doctor thought for a while, and after some silence he said to her, "I think I have a better solution for your problem. It's less dangerous for you, too."

She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to fulfill her request.

He continued, "You see, in order for you to not have to take care of two babies at the same time, let's kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest before the other one is born. If we're going to kill one of them, it doesn't matter which one it is. There would be no risk to your body if you chose the one in your arms."

The horrified woman said, "No, doctor. How terrible! It's a crime to kill a child!"

The doctor had made his point. If only Barack Obama and the pro-abortion Members of Congress would get it.

URUGUAYAN PRESIDENT VETOES ABORTION LAW
Saying he doesn't agree with abortion "philosophically or biologically," President Tabare Vazquez of Uruguay vetoed a bill allowing first-trimester abortions. His veto saved Uruguay from having South America's most liberal abortion law. The bill now returns to Congress where there are not enough votes to overturn it. (Associated Press, 11/15/08)

PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT EMERGING IN RUSSIA
It appears that a fledgling "anti-abortion" movement is stirring in Russia. This is due more to demographics than to morality, but doctors are trying to dissuade patients from abortion. The government is desperate to persuade citizens to bear more children. Russians are dying faster than they're being born, causing one of the most serious challenges faced by the sprawling, scantily populated land. The government has imposed new restrictions on the procedures after the 12th week of pregnancy, and toughened the language of a waiver that a Russian woman must sign before having an abortion.
