Hannity: "Would you leave the pro-life language in the Platform?"
McCain: "Sure."

This exchange occurred on FOX News' Hannity and Colmes program on March 13, 2008. "Straight Talk" John McCain gave a direct, unequivocal answer to that very important question.

Thank you, John McCain. Your word on this issue is important to us. We hope you will instruct your Delegates to support the pro-life plank (as President George W. Bush did at the Republican Convention in New York City in 2004).

When these issues are again addressed to McCain, it is essential that he respond more enthusiastically and in more detail about his support of the pro-life plank. The Platform is written by Delegates from every state, and they need to know that the pro-life plank is important to you.

After all, the same beautiful language has been in the Republican Platform since 1984. It's the pro-life plank that Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush ran and were elected on. In contrast, we all know what happened to our 1996 presidential candidate, Bob Dole, who tried (unsuccessfully) to water down the pro-life plank.

The pro-life constituency is a vital part of the Republican Party. A Republican presidential candidate cannot win without the support of pro-lifers. John McCain would significantly help his candidacy if he would speak more specifically and warmly about our determination to defend "the fundamental, individual right to life" of unborn babies.

Never forget that YOU were once an embryo.
