The Republican Party was founded on the principle that no human being should be considered the property of another.

The stage is set and members of Congress who are the central players are preparing for their entrances into town hall meetings during the August congressional recess. Typically, most Americans act as observers of the political scene, not unlike the audience at a play. This time, each and every one of us has an active role to play in the ongoing and increasing move toward dismantling the social, economic and political structures of the United States in order to replace them with a form of European-style socialism.
There is no better example of what the Obama administration and the Democrats hope to accomplish than the current battle over the reform of U.S. healthcare policy.
We the people still have the power to stop Obamacare! If we turn out in massive numbers at town hall meetings across the nation and respectfully but forcefully make our views known to the men and women who were elected to represent us in Washington, they will return to their jobs in September knowing this: the American health care system is the best in the world. If they think they can improve upon it they need to understand that anything they intend to impose on the rest of us must cover them as well! If itís not suitable for them and their families itís not acceptable for the American people!
Please do your best to play your part as this story unfolds and the future of our country and that of our children and grandchildren hangs in the balance. Take your friends and neighbors with you.
Democrats and Republicans alike need to hear that we do not want or need their intrusive meddling into our private lives and businesses.
Republicans, in particular, won't be doing us any favors if they think they can improve on this terrible piece of legislation. We are tired of Democrat-lite Republicans!
The bill should be scrapped altogether. We donít want it, we canít afford it, and the moral and ethical threats to the unborn, the elderly, the infirm, and the less-than-perfect among us loom larger each passing day.
The fact that medical personnel will be rendered unable to exercise their rights of conscience in refusing to participate in practices that violate their religious and moral principles is an outrage beyond description.
The House of Representatives has adjourned for the August recess. The Senate will follow suit on August 7, 2009.
Currently under consideration is H.R. 3200, America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009. The bill has been marked up in three committees: The House Ways and Means Committee chaired by Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY), the House Education and Labor Committee with Rep. George Miller (D-CA) as chairman, and the House Energy and Commerce Committee, chaired by Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA). With the Democrats in control of Congress, they represent a majority on all three committees and the chairmen are all committed to the abortion lobbyís agenda.
The plan is for the three versions of the bill to be reconciled when Congress returns to Washington.
The Senate Finance Committee, chaired by Senator Max Baucus (D-MT) is reportedly considering a bill that could be "vastly different" from that being worked on in the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (USA Today, 7/31/09), where the champion of nationalized health care, Senator Ted Kennedy, presides.
