Phyllis to Speak at Tribute for Colleen
Colleen Parro served the RNC for Life for 20 years, and is now retiring to begin a new chapter of her life as a newlywed. To honor her two decades of dedication, RNC for Life will hold a special luncheon at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 10th in Dallas at the Hyatt Regency, 300 Reunion Blvd., near the Convention Center where Texas Republicans will gather on Friday and Saturday for their state convention. The luncheon also is open to non-convention delegates, and we encourage everyone who has appreciated Colleen's dedication to our cause to join in this tribute to her. Valet parking will be available for $12.

Phyllis Schlafly, RNC for Life's founder and national President, will speak at the luncheon, which will include reminiscences from the many successful events and campaigns that Colleen and Phyllis have shared since 1990. Conservative Dallas/Fort Worth talk-show host and newspaper columnist Mark Davis will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.

Tickets for the luncheon are $50 each, and tables of 10 are $750, which will allow each of the table guests to attend a VIP Reception with Colleen, Phyllis and incoming Executive Director Dianne Edmondson at 11:30 a.m. Individuals may purchase Luncheon-VIP Reception tickets for $75 each.

To make reservations, go on-line to http://www.rnclife.org/lunch/ Or email [email protected], phone RNCLife at 618/462-5415 or fax Dianne at 940/498-2468. RNC for Life accepts Visa or Mastercard. Reservations for the luncheon must be received by Sunday, June 6th. Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit RNC-Life PAC, which will be assisting strong pro-life candidates in the November 2010 elections.

NE Passes Groundbreaking Pro-Life Legislation
to Ban Early Abortions
In April, Nebraska's unicameral legislature passed a groundbreaking bill which bans abortions as early as 20 weeks gestation. The lawmakers acted on assertions that unborn infants are able to feel pain at that stage of development. In another first-time-ever bill, the legislature required women seeking abortions to be screened for mental health problems before an abortion is performed. Republican Governor Dave Heineman has signed both bills, which are expected to be challenged in the courts by the pro-aborts.

Obama's Supreme Court Nominee No Friend to Pro-Life Agenda
It came as no surprise that the President's choice to replace Justice John Paul Stevens is a left-wing, pro-abortion liberal. But Elena Kagan's lack of any judicial experience, coupled with her outspoken criticism of our military (as Dean of Harvard, she kicked military recruiters off its campus), make her a hard sell, even to "moderates." Urge your two U.S. Senators to vote against Elena Kegan's nomination. Hearings begin in late June. Use this link: www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senator to contact your Senator.

Pro-life Cong. Roy Blunt Seeking MO Senate Seat
Cong. Roy Blunt from Missouri's 7th District is seeking the GOP nomination for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Kit Bond. A strong supporter of life, Cong. Blunt spoke recently at the graduation ceremonies for Southwest Baptist University and urged Congress to return to the standards set forth in the Hyde Amendment. Cong. Blunt is a former president of the University and also called for Congress to close the loopholes which will let the Obamacare law fund abortions overseas and in some instances even here in the United States.
